No student should go hungry during the summer, so NISD is serving up free summer meals at 26 campuses! ☀️

All children 18 and under—and enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21—can enjoy meals at select campuses and community sites throughout the summer. No registration or ID required—just show up!

Today is bittersweet. 💙💛 As the final bell rings and you walk the halls of Wanke Elementary one last time, just know… you will always be part of our pack.

We’ve watched you grow, learn, laugh, make memories, and become incredible young leaders. While it’s hard to say goodbye, we are SO excited to watch you take your next big step into middle school.

No matter where life takes you, always remember where your journey began. Once a Wanke Wolf, always a Wanke Wolf. 🐾

Here’s a huge congratulations to our Wanke Wolves who were accepted into our NISD Magnet School Programs next year! Lobos for Life! 💙💛🐺 Our Wanke Alumni will be attending Stinson (Sports Medicine), Hobby (Health Science), Anson Jones (STEM), and Zachary (Cyber Security)!

Roundball Ruckus is a cherished Wanke tradition we love! 5th Graders vs. Teachers is always a good time! It was a close one, but TEACHERS STAY UNDEFEATED! 🏀⛹🏻‍♀️⛹🏼‍♂️🐺

What a great day to be a 5th grader! They started their day with a Field Trip to the bowling alley and wrapped up the day with their End of Elementary Party! Thank you so much to our parent volunteers, the Duran Family for donating their Photo Booth services and to Shea’s Sweet Treats for donating the delicious and gorgeous cookies! Lobos for Life! 🐺💙💛
