Our mission is to provide affordable housing and support services for college students so they may succeed in college while facing life challenges.

Wesley House is currently the only organization providing affordable, below market rate housing and wrap-around services, exclusively serving low-income and systemically marginalized college students in San Diego County. Our student residents experience additional challenges such as aging out of foster care, being formerly incarcerated, experiencing homelessness, and/or being the first generation in their family to attend college. It is our goal as an organization to create parity in the college experience.

We love having the chance to celebrate our amazing community partner, North Island Credit Union! With their help, we secured a $70,000 grant to support workforce development through affordable college housing from Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco.

Wesley House Alumna, Kim, shares her incredible story with KPBS. What a wonderful segment! The data matches the student population we serve here at Wesley House Student Residence, and it reflects the stories our students have shared with us over the years.

A recent study from UCLA shows that San Diego County has the fourth highest count of homeless students across all California counties. And San Diego Unified School District has the second highest out of every district in the state.
