Last week, the Office of Emergency Management met with Bay Area consulates to coordinate planning ahead of the FIFA World Cup. With partners from the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management , the Office of Foreign Missions - OFM U.S. Department of State , California Governor's Office of Emergency Services , and FIFA World Cup, we covered how 911 works for international visitors, medical response, and behind‑the‑scenes coordination for major events. Strengthening these relationships now helps ensure visitors feel safe and supported when the world arrives next month.

A warming trend will continue through the end of the week as high pressure builds over the region. Expect temperatures to peak on Thursday and Friday, with inland spots like Cloverdale, Concord, and King City reaching into the low-to-mid 80s. Coastal areas will remain comfortably in the 60s.

Enjoy the sunshine while it last! A return to cooler, unsettled conditions is expected by Saturday and into early next week as a weather system moves back into the area.
