Through expanded technology and real-time surveillance, Shreveport Police can better prevent crime, support investigations, and bring offenders to justice.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Through Downtown to Home, part of Operation: SEE, SIGN & SECURE, the Downtown Development Authority and HOPE Connections are working together to connect individuals experiencing homelessness with permanent housing and a path toward greater stability.

Since August, 14 individuals have secured permanent housing, with 7 more currently sheltered. That's 21 people taking an important step toward a fresh start.

The goal is to connect 90% of downtown's unsheltered population with safe, appropriate, permanent housing by September 2027.

SEE the difference technology can make.

A safer downtown starts with knowing what’s happening and having the tools to respond.

Through Operation: SEE, SIGN, and SECURE, the SEE initiative is expanding the use of public safety technology throughout Downtown Shreveport. With additional surveillance technology being deployed and monitored by the City of Shreveport’s Real Time Crime Center, law enforcement can strengthen situational awareness, identify potential concerns earlier, and support a more proactive response.
