Photo Retake Day: November 10, 2026.

What to expect on picture day
Any student wishing to have a retake should bring their original picture package to exchange for the retake image.
When an order is placed online, the parent/guardian will receive a camera pass via email. This can either be printed or texted to the student and brought to picture day. The photographer will photograph the printed camera pass along with the student.
If a student is not able to print their camera pass, that is not a problem. We will match up the student to their order manually in the production process.
A parent may order from the flyer up until 24 hours after picture day. After 24 hours, the online ordering access may close. This will allow our imaging team to "Pull" all orders submitted and match them with the students photographed.
When pictures are returned to school, all students that purchased pictures will receive their prepaid package. Any student that was photographed but did not order a package, will receive a "Proof" (PX) of their picture that was taken on picture day.
All proof packages offer parents a second opportunity to order prints. All orders are subject to shipping and handling costs of up to $8.50 and will be shipped directly to home.

What an exciting day for our 2nd graders! Today, our students had the opportunity to join a live-streaming session with Diary of a Wimpy Kid author Jeff Kinney! They learned about his two upcoming books and participated in a live Q&A. Even more exciting, one of our very own 2nd graders, Cassandra, had her question answered LIVE by Jeff himself! She asked, “How long does it take you to write a book from start to finish?” His answer? About 5 months for a typical book, but his very first book took 8 YEARS! What an incredible experience to connect with a favorite author and inspire our young readers and writers!

Thank you Mr. McCorkle and Dr. Morris!!!

October is National Principals Month. Please join us as we proudly recognize and celebrate our outstanding building principals for their dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and school community!

Being a principal is no easy task. From supporting teachers and connecting with families to making countless decisions each day, our principals wear many hats. Their work often extends well beyond the school day, and much of what they do happens behind the scenes.

We are incredibly fortunate to have dedicated leaders who put students first, support their staff, and work tirelessly to make our schools the best they can be.

👏 Please join us in thanking our building principals for everything they do to make Byram Township School District such a special place to learn and grow!

Next time you're at Byram Lakes, grab a seat on the Buddy Bench, placed in memory of Ms. Kerry Schneider. Ms. Kerry was a paraprofessional at BLES for almost 20 years. She brightened everyone's day and was a buddy to all, so we couldn't think of a better way to honor her!
