𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿/𝗘𝗠𝗧𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: As October and Fire Prevention Month wrap up, we're sharing a glimpse of what our inaugural Firefighter/EMT Academy class has been doing. The students collaboratively created a mission statement. Their teacher, David Langendonk, shared that the students were trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation as preparation for certification in Basic Life Support CPR and First Aid. Students practiced scenarios to understand the dynamics of a functional prehospital team. Similar to our Med Tech students who wear scrubs, our Firefighter/EMT students are learning to do the job in uniform.

Over the last two days, Northview and Southview welcomed our 8th grade students from Arbor Hills, McCord, and Timberstone for tours of our Career Tech learning spaces. Although the 2-year programs are for juniors and seniors, there are Career Tech elective courses available for 9th-12th grade students. We look forward to seeing our 8th grade families at our High School Open Houses.

Over 250 Wildcats and Cougars are taking the PSAT this morning. We wish them the best of luck!

🚌 Thank you, Rich! Mr. Rich drives bus #53 for Southview, Timberstone, and Central Trail and gave us a peek at some of the steps he performs for the daily pre-trip inspection. Did you know that school buses are inspected every day by bus drivers, twice a year by our mechanics, and twice a year by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Vehicle Inspection Unit?

10/23/2026

Due to the continued foggy conditions, there will not be transportation for nonpublic schools, and the PSAT will not take place today. Parent-Teacher conferences will take place, and staff should report as scheduled. We will still hold our Coffee & Conversation session this morning.

The PSAT will be rescheduled to another day and communicated to high school students and families.
