October is Bullying Prevention Month

Approximately 1 in 4 elementary aged students in the United States reports being bullied during the school year. Bullying includes social exclusion, name-calling, rumors, or teasing that becomes repeated, hurtful, and one-sided.

This shows the importance of teaching kindness, respect, and inclusion. Being kind to each other and respecting each other's differences can help reduce bullying.

Research shows students are more likely to report bullying to an adult at home and nearly 1 in 4 students don't report it at all.

If you're student comes home and reports bullying to you, please reach out to our school so we can support your student and stop the bullying from happening.

TOMORROW is Unity Day. We encourage you and your student(s) to 🔸️wear orange 🔸️ to show a vibrant message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and that bullying is unacceptable.
