🎉 A HUGE shout-out to Mr. Heath Jones, our District 4 Board Member! 🎉

Mr. Jones graciously provided MXR with a brand-new mower, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

If you’ve been by MXR, you know we have a LOT of acreage to mow! 🌱 Our hardworking custodial team works tirelessly to keep our campus looking its best, and this new equipment will cut mowing time in half! What a difference this will make for our team!

Thank you, Mr. Jones, for your generosity and continued support of MXR and MCSS! We truly appreciate all you do for our school and our community! ✨

We are Comets. Better together. ✨

What a week to be a Comet! ☄️🌎❤️

From celebrating cultures around the world to showing off our school spirit, this week at MXR was one for the books!

🌎 A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Lopez for coordinating our Celebrate the Nations Parade to wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month! Our Comets represent so many different countries and cultures, and we loved getting to celebrate the diversity that makes our school so special. We also enjoyed two incredible traditional dance performances by Latin Roots Folklore. Several of our wonderful families also prepared traditional dishes for our teachers to sample, giving us a delicious opportunity to experience and appreciate different cultures. Thank you to the families who shared a little piece of their heritage with us!

On Friday, Sparkman High School brought the energy with a pep rally that had our Comets cheering, smiling, and showing their school spirit!

📚 And of course, plenty of learning, laughter, and fun filled our classrooms throughout the week!

It's safe to say there was never a dull moment at MXR this week! ✨
