🇺🇸 HONOR. RESPECT. REMEMBER. NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute – Vietnam War Memorial “The Wall” & Cost of Freedom Exhibit
On Thursday, October 15, 2026, the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Vietnam War Memorial, known as “The Wall,” and the Cost of Freedom Exhibit were located at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas, offering an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women who have defended our nation and the freedoms we enjoy every day.
These powerful tributes serve a purpose far greater than displaying names and memorials. They help us honor those who served, respect those who sacrificed, remember those who never came home, and educate present and future generations about our nation's history.
🕊️ A NAME ON A WALL. A LIFE REMEMBERED. A SACRIFICE NEVER FORGOTTEN.
The Vietnam War Memorial Wall is a solemn reminder that behind every name is a human story—a son or daughter, a husband or wife, a brother or sister, a friend, and a fellow American. Each name represents a life, a family, and a sacrifice that deserves to be remembered.
There is a deeply meaningful belief behind these memorials: if your name is written and displayed, you can never truly be forgotten. As generations come and go, these names continue to connect us to the people and the history that shaped our nation.
🇺🇸 A MISSION THAT TRAVELS ACROSS AMERICA
The American Veterans Traveling Tribute carries the Vietnam War Memorial and Cost of Freedom Exhibit across the United States, bringing these important reminders of service and sacrifice directly to communities throughout the country. Its mission is to reach veterans, recognize their service, and give them the respect and acknowledgment they deserve.
By partnering with local communities and businesses, these tributes bring Americans together to celebrate the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of those who have fought to protect our freedoms.
As we reflect on this visit to the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center, may we remember that honoring our veterans is not something reserved for a memorial event or a special day on the calendar. It is a responsibility we carry with us every day.
To every veteran who served, to every family who waited, and to every loved one whose sacrifice is forever etched in our nation's history: WE REMEMBER YOU. WE HONOR YOU. WE THANK YOU.
May we never take our freedoms for granted, and may we never forget the men and women who made them possible.
🙏 Lest We Forget.
