Wishing everyone a safe and happy Halloween

10/31/2026

🎃 Jack-o’-lanterns, candles, and festive decorations bring the magic of Halloween to life. However, a candle getting too close to a decoration or a costume brushing against a flame can quickly turn the celebration into a crisis.

Before the trick-or-treaters arrive:

✔️ Opt for battery-operated candles and LED lights in your jack-o’-lanterns.
✔️ Keep decorations, dried leaves, and paper away from any heat sources.
✔️ Select flame-resistant costumes and ensure they're away from candles and stovetops.
✔️ Ensure that walkways and exits remain unobstructed by decorations.
✔️ Have a flashlight available so every trick-or-treater can see and be seen.

Wishing you a safe Halloween from NC OSFM!
