A storm system headed for Southern California will bring widespread rain to the area late tonight through Thursday. There is a chance of thunderstorms with potential for heavy downpours, lightning, strong wind gusts and a very small chance of a brief tornado. Use caution when driving as roads could be slick, ponding water is possible on low lying roads, and heavy rain can reduce visibility.

The 13th Annual Port of Hueneme Banana Festival takes place next Saturday, September 26th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come celebrate our diverse working port and explore its amazing contribution to our community focusing on one of its primary imports….bananas. Enjoy a family-focused day with music, food, entertainers, vendors, arts and crafts, kids activities, and banana-themed attractions.

The festival is located at 105 E. Port Hueneme Road. Free admission and parking at the beach lots.
