Every great vision starts somewhere, and right now, ours starts with dirt, equipment, and a whole lot of dreaming!

What may look like just another construction project to some is the beginning of something we’ve been envisioning for a long time. A place where dogs can fly, friendships can grow, memories can be made, and a community of dock diving enthusiasts can come together to do what we all love.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but watching our vision slowly turn into reality is an incredible feeling.

From a patch of dirt to a place where dreams take flight.

Here’s to the next chapter of Cedar Cross Diving Dogs! We can’t wait to share the journey with all of you!

Down by the dock on Halloween night,
The moon was glowing, the stars shining bright.
A bumper was floating, the water was still,
When a howl echoed out from the top of the hill!

A ghost took a leap, but forgot how to swim,
A vampire jumped next, with a mischievous grin.
A werewolf came charging with paws full of might,
And launched off the dock in a spectacular flight!

The witches were cheering, their broomsticks held high,
As a skeleton shouted, “Now THAT’S how you fly!”
A zombie stepped forward, then froze in his tracks,
“That water looks cold! I think I’ll go back!”

The monsters all laughed as the splashes flew high,
While bats circled overhead in the dark midnight sky.
No tricks could compare, no treats could delight,
Like dogs chasing bumpers on Halloween night!

So beware of the splashes, the barks, and the screams,
For dock diving dogs are what haunt our dreams!
And when the last jumper has finished their flight,
HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN ALL, and have a safe night!🎃

FRIDAY FUN — LET’S TALK PERSONAL BESTS!

With the 2026 dock diving season officially behind us, it’s the perfect time to look back at just how far our dogs have come!

Whether your dog jumped 5 feet or 25 feet, shaved a little time off their Hydro Dash, grabbed a new Air Retrieve personal best, or finally found the confidence to jump off the dock, every accomplishment deserves to be celebrated!

Remember, success isn’t always measured in feet, seconds, or ribbons. Sometimes the biggest victories are the little moments that remind us why we fell in love with this sport in the first place.

Did you know that not every dock diving dog starts out loving the water? Some jump right in without hesitation, while others need a little patience, encouragement, and confidence building before they’re ready to take that first leap!

One of the biggest misconceptions about dock diving is that your dog has to be a natural swimmer or a certain breed to participate. The truth is, dock diving is about building confidence, having fun, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog!

As we prepare to open Cedar Cross Diving Dogs in spring 2027, we’re especially excited to welcome beginners! From those first hesitant steps into the water to that unforgettable first jump off the dock, we can’t wait to be part of your journey.

WEDNESDAY WISDOM — THE OFF-SEASON DOESN’T MEAN THE SPLASHING HAS TO STOP! 💙💚

The 2026 NADD season has officially wrapped up, and while many of us are enjoying a much-needed break, did you know there are still opportunities to keep your dogs jumping throughout the winter?

That’s right! Just because the temperatures are dropping doesn’t mean you have to put those bumpers away!

There are several INDOOR dock diving facilities in the Midwest that offer opportunities to train, stay conditioned, and even compete in NADD events during the colder months!

An indoor dock diving facility offering private lessons, pool time, classes, and NADD competitions throughout the year.

Another indoor dock diving option for teams looking to keep their skills sharp and enjoy time on the dock during the colder months.

The 2026 dock diving season may be over, but that doesn’t mean the learning has to stop!

Let’s talk about something every dock diving team experiences at some point… THE OFF-SEASON!

Whether your dog is a seasoned competitor or just getting their paws wet, the off-season is a great opportunity to work on confidence, conditioning, obedience, and building that connection with your dog.

Remember, not every improvement happens on the dock. Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen when we slow things down and focus on the little things!

As the 2026 dock diving season comes to a close, we’re ready to slow down, enjoy the fall weather, give our dogs a well-deserved break, and reflect on all the memories made this season. But while the dogs are enjoying some downtime, things behind the scenes at Cedar Cross Diving Dogs are about to get BUSY!

Over the next few months, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves and turning our vision into reality! From getting the property ready and setting up our pool and dock to planning classes, private lessons, pool rentals, and some exciting opportunities for 2027, there’s a LOT to look forward to!

Our goal has always been to create more than just a place for dogs to jump. We want to build a welcoming community where beginners feel encouraged, experienced teams can continue growing, and friendships are made both on and off the dock.

SPRING 2027… WE’RE COMING FOR YOU!

We’ll be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes progress, and plenty of sneak peeks as everything starts coming together!

For now, enjoy the off-season, soak up some extra time with your dogs, and get ready for what’s next. The best is yet to come! 🐾

And just like that… the 2026 NADD season is a wrap!

What an incredible way to end the season at Nationals! From top 10 finishes and podium placements to cheering each other on from the sidelines, this week was about so much more than ribbons and titles.

The miles walked, dogs run, countless pictures and videos taken, lunches and dinners shared, and endless laughs are what make these events so special. But what stood out the most was the incredible sportsmanship and support from everyone around us. Old friendships grew stronger, new friendships were made, and memories were created that will last long after the season ends.

A HUGE congratulations to everyone who stepped on that dock this year! Whether you brought home a podium finish, a personal best, or simply enjoyed another opportunity to compete alongside your best friend, you have something to be proud of!

As much as we love the excitement, the chaos, and the people who make this sport feel like family, I think it’s safe to say we’re ready for a much-needed break!

Here’s to an unforgettable 2026 season, the dogs who give us their all, and the friendships that make every mile worth it. Until next season!
