OVC’s upcoming hours before summer break starts

Although the rain tried its best to take opening weekend completely away, we had an awesome Memorial Day and the kids braved the icy waters!
Diving boards were jumped off of! Baseball was played! Laps were walked! Teenagers were posted! And fun was had!

While Mother Nature is really trying to ruin this weekend, she just couldn’t keep the temperatures low enough to completely scare us away! ☀️
We will be opening today from 1-6pm This will give our guards and staff some time to finish cleaning up and getting everything ready for members.

Please note: we may need to keep the picnic table area closed or limited due to the grounds being extremely wet and muddy. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through the soggy conditions.

Sunday, May 24th- While we have been closely monitoring other SSL facilities and have seen a mix of delayed openings and full closures, along with the condition of our own grounds, we have decided to remain closed for the day.
The grass and surrounding areas are simply too wet and muddy to justify opening safely. While our crews are currently onsite cleaning and preparing the facility, we have made the difficult decision to stay closed today.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please pray for some sunshine so we can enjoy a beautiful Memorial Day Monday! ☀️

Stay tuned: We will be making a decision by 1:00 PM on whether we are able to move forward with a delayed opening today.
With the abundance of unfortunate rain this weekend, the grounds are extremely saturated, muddy, and waterlogged. In addition, the pool temperature is currently too low for safe swimming.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, and we are hopeful for some sunshine and warmer temps soon! ☀️

It is with deepest sadness, and after a very tough decision, that due to the constant rain, soaked grounds, and low temperatures, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Opening Day.
We are hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day to celebrate OVC Opening Day together! Please stay tuned for updates — and pray for some ☀️
