Vendor Spotlight: The What Sub Truck
This isn’t just a food truck—it’s where cravings get handled properly. They take the classics you know—crispy fried chicken, juicy grilled chicken, golden fries, buttery shrimp—and hit them with bold flavor, real fire, and zero shortcuts. Every tray is built to satisfy with creamy mac, smoky char, crunchy bites, tangy slaw, and that perfect pickle snap to cut through it all. Whether you’re pulling up for comfort or chasing flavor, this is the kind of food that speaks loudly, fills you up, and keeps you coming back. One stop, no disappointments—just straight-up, loaded goodness. This truck is happiness on wheels!
Thewhatsubtruck is new to the New Castle County Farmer’s Market, and you can find them at Carousel Park this Friday from 2pm-6pm. Be sure to stop by to say hi and pick up some dinner!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: Retired and Still Squeezin’
After recently retiring, this husband-and-wife team decided to start a business of their own as a way to stay active, connect with the community, and turn their love of farmers markets into a new adventure. What began as regular visits to local markets has now evolved into becoming first-time vendors themselves, bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the New Castle County Farmers Market.
Their stand features freshly made lemonade prepared on-site with a variety of flavors, with plans to expand into mini pancakes in the future. Although they are new to vending, they are excited to meet customers and become part of the market community. Outside of the market, the pair enjoys traveling and exploring the world through all modes of transportation. Their recipes are rooted in family traditions and are designed to be flexible and customizable, encouraging customers to make each flavor their own.
Local handmade favorites are waiting for you at the market! 💛
Visit Retired and still Squeezin' at the Carousel Farmers Market and taste what they have to offer!
