From fighting fires to navigating simulated harbors, JROTC cadets from James River High School and Deep Run High School got a firsthand look at training at Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown! ⚓

Our Damage Controlman School introduced cadets to equipment used to combat shipboard casualties, while Boatswain’s Mate School shared water survival and boat crew skills. Cadets also put themselves at the helm during simulated harbor transits in the Full Mission Bridge Simulators.

Their energy and enthusiasm made for a memorable visit, and we can’t wait to welcome them back!

Semper Paratus, cadets! 🇺🇸
