๐ Congratulations to Intelligence Specialist (IS) A School Class 4-26! ๐
Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of IS A School Class 4-26 and recognized the hard work, dedication, and perseverance required to reach this milestone.
Over the past several months, these students have developed the foundational skills needed to support Coast Guard operations through intelligence collection, analysis, and information sharing. Their efforts have prepared them to join the Intelligence Specialist rating and contribute directly to mission success across the service.
As they depart Training Center Yorktown for their first assignments, they carry with them not only technical knowledge, but also the Coast Guardโs core values of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty.
Bravo Zulu to the graduates, instructors, class advisors, support staff, and families who helped make this achievement possible.
We wish the newest members of the Intelligence Specialist rating fair winds and following seas as they begin the next chapter of their Coast Guard careers.

๐ฅ What a great day of competition and camaraderie at the Training Center Yorktown Softball Tournament!
Bravo Zulu to the E-6 and below team for taking home the championship after defeating the Officers team in the final game! ๐ช๐
The tournament showcased teamwork, sportsmanship, and unit pride both on and off the field. Events like these strengthen morale and bring the TCY community together through friendly competition and esprit de corps.

We are incredibly proud to announce her successful graduation from the Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) Airman Leadership School (ALS). Not only did SK3 Carranza-Velasquez conquer this rigorous program, but she also stepped up to the plate and distinguished herself by being selected to serve as the Flight Leader for her ALS squadron. Outstanding work setting the standard and leading from the front!

๐บ๐ธ Memorial Day at TRACEN Yorktown ๐บ๐ธ
Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekendโit is a solemn reminder that our freedoms were secured by heroes who answered the call and never returned home. Their courage, selflessness, and devotion to duty continue to inspire every member of the Coast Guard and Armed Forces.
As we spend time with family and friends, let us remember those who gave their lives so that others might live in freedom. We also keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts, recognizing the sacrifices they continue to bear.
At 1200, TRACEN Yorktown will render a 21-gun salute in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We encourage everyone to take a moment to pause, reflect, and remember the fallen whose courage and selfless service continue to inspire us today.
From all of us at Training Center Yorktown, we honor the fallen, cherish their legacy, and recommit ourselves to the values they defended.

Students recently completed the Emergency Management Specialist and Exercise Course (EMSEC) at the Emergency and Disaster Management Schoolhouse aboard Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown.
The course prepares personnel for emergency management and force readiness roles across the United States Coast Guardthrough classroom and practical instruction focused on HSEEP, exercise planning, after action reporting, and incident management.

Yesterday, we celebrated the Coast Guardโs newest Machinery Technicians as they join a rating that keeps the Service moving. From small boat stations to cutters, ATON units, and shoreside facilities, MKs are the backbone of Coast Guard readiness, ensuring our crews have the equipment and engineering support needed to accomplish every mission.
As one of the most widely assigned ratings in the Coast Guard, MKs play a critical role at nearly every unit, maintaining the engines, systems, and equipment that enable search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, homeland security, and defense operations.
Bravo Zulu to the graduates, instructors, and families who supported these students throughout their journey. We look forward to seeing the impact these newly minted MKs will have across the fleet.

๐บ๐ธ Training Center Yorktown members came together to take on the Murph Challenge, honoring the sacrifice and legacy of Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
Participants pushed through every mile, pull-up, push-up, and squat with determination, teamwork, and resilience, embodying the Coast Guard spirit of service and commitment. From seasoned athletes to first-time participants, every member showed incredible heart and camaraderie throughout the event.
Great job to everyone who completed the challenge and supported one another along the way. ๐ช๐ฅ

Training Center Yorktown was also honored to host special guests William G. Kelly (USCG RADM retired and CNU President) and Mrs. Angie Kelly, making the evening even more memorable for all in attendance.
