This week, IOM Albania conducted a series of focus group discussions with institutions, employers, employment agencies, trade unions, civil society organisations, international partners and migrant workers as part of a study on the economic impact of migration in Albania.

The study, implemented in partnership with the IOM office in Italy, examines the contribution of foreign workers to Albania's labour market and economy while gathering perspectives on labour demand, recruitment practices, working conditions, labour rights and access to services.

People move for many reasons, including work, education and the opportunity to build a better future.

IOM works with partners across the Western Balkans to strengthen safe, orderly and regular pathways, including labour mobility, while supporting access to information, rights and opportunities.

Because better pathways can help people and societies benefit from mobility.
