The Salvation Army Ingle Farm
We’ve been busy at Ingle Farm Salvos serving our community and raising money for the annual Red Shield Appeal over the last couple of weeks. We’ve catered for a medieval wedding, held the inaugural Red Brick Expo with the assistance of the Southern Brick Lego users group, and now we’re connecting with our community at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza. We’ve also worshipped and celebrated. We love our community and want to do our best to serve them with the love of Jesus. ❤️

On Sunday 17th May the Adelaide Congress Hall Band provided a program at the front gate of the old Adelaide Gaol which is now a museum. (There is also an historical photograph of the then Adelaide Citadel Band playing at the same spot in 1912.)
This was an open day for the public to visit and experience the history of the building. Over 850 visitors attended the celebration on the day.
The gaol was opened in 1841 and was originally estimated to cost £17,000 to build. However, the actual cost exceeded £30,000 and this bankrupted the fledgling colony of SA causing Governor Gawler to be recalled to Britain.
Many of the visitors to the open day clearly enjoyed the music we provided and showed their appreciation.

This morning Jen Pendergrast, National Strategic Relationships Coordinator went out to Palmers at Woodville North to meet with the team to thank them for their generous donations and update them on the incredible outreach we have been able to have sharing their amazing products over the past year.
This is a powerful reminder that community impact doesn’t happen in isolation, it is built through strong relationships, shared purpose, and collective action. By coming together, we can create not only support, but also moments of joy and normality during challenging times.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Palmers, for their continued support and belief in our mission. Their contributions have helped foster dignity, connection, and care across our community.
We look forward to continuing this partnership and building on the positive outcomes we have achieved together.

A great article from North East Salvos
🔦 Faces of the Salvos
Today we're celebrating Majors Peer and G*i Cathcart at North East Salvos who bring heart, strength, and genuine care to all they serve in their community.
North East Salvos in South Australia is a vibrant, welcoming Corps where Peer and G*i have been faithfully serving for years. Their passion for people shines through the many programs running each week from their Oakden building - supporting families, individuals, and anyone seeking connection or practical help. With community support, pastoral care, small groups, and local outreach, they’ve created a space where everyone is valued.
Before becoming Corps Officers at North East, the Cathcarts served as Sallyman and Sallyma’am with the Red Shield Military Services, and they still love sharing a good barista‑made coffee with anyone who stops by! ☕
