Detectives from the Horsham Criminal Investigation Unit seized a vehicle on Eagles Road, Bungalally on the 13th of May 2026. Several items were located in the vicinity of this vehicle.

BAIL CHECK BREACH, ENDS WITH VEHICLE SEIZURE 🤦♂️
On Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at approximately 9:25pm, St Arnaud Police attended a rural residential property north-east of St Arnaud to conduct a random bail compliance check. Police discovered the individual was not at home, contrary to a condition of their bail.
Shortly after leaving the address, police intercepted a vehicle travelling along the road towards the property.
The driver, a 32-year-old St Arnaud man, was found to be driving while his licence was suspended and in breach of an additional bail condition prohibiting him from driving. He was interviewed in relation to the alleged offences of driving while suspended and contravening bail conditions.
The following morning, 28 May 2026, police returned to the property and seized the vehicle registered to the man’s partner for a period of 30 days. The cost to have the vehicle released will be $2,700.
The man will be summonsed to appear before court at a later date to answer for the alleged offences.
St Arnaud Police are actively conducting bail compliance checks and will continue to hold individuals accountable for breaches.

On Friday the 26th of May 2026 Stawell West Primary School, St Patricks Primary School and Stawell 502 Primary School proudly celebrated "National Walk Safely to School Day".
🚓🚒🚑 With assistance from local Police, CFA, SES and Ambulance Victoria the walk encouraged students to stay active while reinforcing the importance of road safety awareness for those in our local community braving the cold morning.

ST ARNAUD MAN REMANDED IN CUSTODY
At approximately 8.50pm on 14 May 2026, police patrolling the St Arnaud area responded to a report of a vehicle behaving suspiciously on Yawong Road, Slaty Creek.
A short time later, officers attended and intercepted a 38-year-old St Arnaud man riding a quad bike without registration plates.
Police will allege the man’s driver’s licence was disqualified and enquiries revealed the vehicle had allegedly been stolen during a recent burglary in the Donald area.
It is also alleged the man was on bail at the time for pending matters relating to theft, traffic and drug offences.
Yesterday evening, police attended a St Arnaud address and arrested the man. He was conveyed to St Arnaud Police Station, where he was interviewed in relation to the alleged offending. He was later remanded in custody and is expected to face court today.
Investigations into recent burglaries and thefts in and around the St Arnaud area remain ongoing, and further charges are expected.
