Calling all young people and families — we need your ideas for the future of Greensborough!
Join Banyule City Council for a hands-on design session where young people will use LEGO, maps and creative activities to help imagine what Greensborough could look like in the years ahead.
📅 Sunday 7 June
📍 Watermarc Greensborough
🕧 11am – 12.30pm and 1pm – 2.30pm
We’ll explore questions like:
🍃 What would make Greensborough greener, safer and more welcoming?
🏡 Where should new homes, trees, open spaces and community spaces go?
🚌 How can we make it easier to get around?
🌟 What would make young people want to spend more time in the area?
This is a fun, practical session for young people and their parents/carers to share ideas, build possibilities and help shape the next chapter for Greensborough.
Be part of the future. Register for a session: shaping.banyule.vic.gov.au/GreensboroughSP
Suitable for children 8 years and older. Parent/carer supervision required.

World No To***co Day is an opportunity to learn more about the growing impact va**ng and ni****ne use is having across our community, particularly among young people, and why early support, trusted information, and supportive conversations matter.

This year, we’re sharing reflections from young people in Banyule alongside information and support pathways that help unpack:
why va**ng and ni****ne use is becoming more common among young people
the pressures and influences young people are navigating
where individuals, families, carers and educators can access trusted support and information

Swipe through to hear directly from young people in our community and explore the supports available.

We’re proud to be working alongside organisations the North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) to support prevention, education, and healthier habits across our community.

This Wednesday marked Eid al-Adha;
Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, generosity, and coming together with family and community. Across Banyule, many residents mark the celebration through traditions that strengthen connection and care for others.
This year, council visited members of Banyule’s Muslim community to hear what Eid al-Adha means to them. In this short video, the Imam Sheikh Alaa El Zokm of Elsedeaq Heidelberg mosque and young people from community share their reflections and wish Banyule Eid Mubarak.
Here’s one of those stories — a glimpse into how our community celebrates
