Thank you to all the City of Stirling local heroes who pitched in after the wild weather this weekend. This afternoon it felt like the whole neighbourhood was out there, raking, blowing and filling green bins.
It’s moments like this that make you proud to be part of such a caring community. Our crews will be out first thing tomorrow to continue the clean-up.
If you need any additional assistance after tomorrow, please lodge a request here: https://stirling.my.site.com/stirling/s/customer-enquiry-and-feedback-form

With storms and large swell forecast for Perth this weekend, we expect to see some noticeable sand movement along the coastline as a result, including at Mettams Pool.
But the 5,000 cubic metres of sand the City moved from Trigg to Mettams in March will help reduce some of the storm’s impact.
It’s important to remember that during storms, beach sand doesn’t disappear. Instead, it moves offshore and forms a shallow sand bar. This natural process helps protect the coastline by reducing wave energy. Over time, wind and waves typically bring some of that sand back onto the beach.

Planting season is here! 🪴🌳
Each year from June to August, the City’s Community Planting Program brings people together to plant trees and native vegetation across parks, bushland, wetlands, coastal dunes and reserves.
Working alongside the community, these events help grow tree canopy, restore native vegetation and create habitat for wildlife, while strengthening biodiversity and neighbourhood connections.
Whether you’re experienced or new to gardening, these events are a friendly, hands-on way to help out. Tools and guidance are provided, just bring enthusiasm and a readiness to get your hands dirty!
