If you’ve visited Yawa, chances are you’ve been welcomed by Deb. One of the first friendly faces many of our members see when they walk through the doors.

Deb has become such an important part of the Yawa community through the warmth, care and consistency she brings every single day. She has a genuine ability to make people feel comfortable, welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.

What makes Deb so special is the way she builds real connections with members. She remembers the little things, takes the time to get to know people and creates an environment where everyone feels seen and supported. The thoughtful Easter gifts she recently received from members are a true reflection of the impact she has on so many people.

Beyond her connection with members, Deb is also a wonderful support within the team, always reliable, positive and willing to help wherever needed. Her kindness and energy help make Yawa the welcoming community it is today.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Deb as part of the Yawa team! 💙

Small changes. Big impact. ♻️

Elements Eatery is proud to be making a real difference through everyday sustainability initiatives. Reducing annual landfill waste by more than 4 tonnes each year.

From composting kitchen waste and recycling coffee grounds, to reusing milk bottles and reducing single-use packaging, every small action adds up to meaningful environmental impact. 🌱

Did you know?
▪️70–100kg of coffee grounds are diverted from landfill each week.
▪️Over 10,000 milk containers are recycled annually.
▪️Kitchen scraps are repurposed through local community partnerships.

Alongside sustainability, Elements Eatery continues to focus on healthy eating, community connection and creating a welcoming space for everyone visiting Yawa Aquatic Centre.

A huge congratulations to the Elements Eatery team on the incredible work they continue to do for our community and environment! 👏
