Yarra Ranges CIU are seeking information regarding a burglary and theft that occurred between the 2nd and 3rd of May at an address in Bartley Rd, Belgrave Heights.

Boronia Police were privileged to host the Bayswater CFA Junior Fire Brigade at our Station last night.

Sgt Pete and Senior Constable Zac were able to give the crew a tour of the Station and answer any questions they had about Policing.

They were a great bunch of youth to host and hopefully we will see a few of them on the beat in years to come.

Detectives from Knox CIU are investigating a burglary at The Butcher Club at Knox Shopping Centre at 9:45pm on Sunday the 24th of May 2026, where an offender accessed the office and stole $5,000 cash from the safe.
Investigators are seeking information in relation to the male captured on CCTV footage and a vehicle of interest:
- A white Toyota Hilux bearing stolen registration plates 1NC9OL is captured on CCTV dropping the offender off at the shopping centre. It is believed two people were involved in the planning and ex*****on of the burglary.
Investigators would like to speak to anyone with information in relation to persons involved in the burglary or with the white Toyota Hilux. Please call Crimestoppers ph 1800 333 000 if you have any information. Ref # 260220873

OWNER SOUGHT

A gold-coloured bracelet was located on the ground in the carpark of Spotlight / The Good Guys located at 224-234 Canterbury Rd, Bayswater North at the start of May.

This was handed in to the Mooroolbark Police Station. (Ph 9725 9999)

ELIAS GEROVASILIS MEMORIAL AWARD

The Elias Gerovasilis Memorial Award was established in memory of Constable Elias Gerovasilis, who tragically list his life in a motorcycle collision in August 2024.

The award recognises an individual who has shown outstanding effort and involvement in Road Safety within the Yarra Ranges Police Service Area.

It is with great pride that today, Elias' parents Bill and Janine presented this year's award to Senior Constable Harvinder (Harry) Singh of Belgrave Police Station.

Whilst working at Belgrave Police Station, Senior Constable Singh has shown dedication to the Yarra Ranges Road Safety Strategies.

Senior Constable Singh has consistently aimed to reduce road trauma through.
> Driver and rider education.
> Highly visible breath testing and road enforcement activities.
> Training and mentorship of junior members.

Senior Constable Singh recently obtained a position at the Eastern Division 2 Highway Patrol - Knox Office and we wish him all the very best with his new role.

Congratulations Harry on being the 2026 recipient of this Award.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES - BAYSWATER.

⚠ Boronia Police are urging residents to ensure valuables are removed from their vehicles.
⚠ Police are investigating a number of offences in the vicinity of Stud / Boronia Rd and the Bayswater CBD.
⚠ A number of these offences have targeted items visible within the vehicles.

🚔 Local Police will be increasing our overt and covert patrols of these areas and urge anyone with information about to the offences to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Some hints to reduce the risk of having your vehicle broken into are below:
▶ Do not leave any valuables in your vehicles. If you must leave valuables in your car, secure them out of sight in the boot or a locked glove box.
▶ Remove GPS and dash cam units. Wipe the suction mark off the window.
▶ Do not leave documents in your car – your address may be used to locate your home and break into your car or home later. Documents might be used to steal your identity.
▶ Do not leave house keys or garage door openers in your car – they may be used in home burglaries.
▶ Install anti-theft screws on number plates.
▶ Lock your car doors and close all windows
▶ Install a car alarm.
▶ Lock external toolboxes and equipment, if they can’t be removed.
▶ Park in a well-lit and secure area
▶ Park off the street. A locked garage is best or a driveway if you don’t have a garage.
▶ If parked in a driveway, consider the installation of a sensor light and CCTV.
▶ If you need to park on the street, park in a well-lit area.
