BEPZA welcomes Samoa and China (Taiwan) based investment at Cumilla EPZ. Yeijer Shoe Parts (BD) Ltd. will invest US$ 5.03 million to manufacture footwear & footwear accessories, including insole, outsole, midsole, and PU shoes. The company is expected to create employment opportunities for 500 Bangladeshi nationals.
BEPZA continues to attract global investment and strengthen Bangladesh’s manufacturing competitiveness.

Sunshine Outdoor (BD) Co., Ltd., a British Virgin Island and China (Hong Kong)-based company, has signed a land lease agreement with BEPZA to set up a tent and camping items manufacturing industry at BEPZA Economic Zone, investing US$ 15 million and creating 2,975 jobs.
The industry will manufacture outdoor products like tent, canopy, bag, duffel bag, waterproof dry bags, and sleeping bag, back pack, tarpaulins, inflatable pillows and mattresses, air pillows, mosquito nets, carpets, mats, folding chairs, and different types of bins & baskets.

A 20-member delegation from the Mombasa Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Kenya, paid a courtesy visit to the BEPZA Executive Office, Dhaka, today. The delegation includes key representatives from the Mombasa SEZ, the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), the JICA Kenya Office, and Koei Africa.
This visit aimed to gain practical insights into Bangladesh's successful Export Processing Zone & Economic Zone development model, focusing on regulatory and institutional frameworks, infrastructure planning, investment promotion strategies, and operational management practices.
During the meeting, BEPZA presented its 45-year journey of success and highlighted the present landscape of the EPZs, including the wide range of facilities and incentives offered to investors. Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, shared valuable experiences on various issues regarding investment promotion and responded to queries from the delegation. The meeting concluded with an engaging and interactive question-and-answer session.
BEPZA expressed its pride in sharing Bangladesh’s EPZ success story, contributing to the advancement of industrial development beyond borders.

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain said, "EPZs in Rangpur and Sirajganj are in the planning stages. Once these projects are complete, the geographical footprint of Bangladesh's industrialisation will expand significantly."

Great Day of BEPZA!
Today, BEPZA proudly completes 45 years of its glorious journey and steps into its 46.
To mark the occasion, a modest yet vibrant programme was held this morning at the Executive Office of BEPZA. The Executive Chairman of BEPZA, Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, ndc, afwc, psc, G, MPhil, in his speech, recalled with deep respect the contributions of all those involved since the inception of BEPZA. He highlighted the organisation’s recent achievements and outlined future plans, while providing necessary guidance to all concerned, and expressed sincere appreciation to valued investors, dedicated officers and staff, and all stakeholders whose collective efforts continue to drive BEPZA’s sustained success.
The programme concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
Similar modest programmes were also held across all EPZs under BEPZA to celebrate the occasion.
