Whalefall closed on Saturday, after a series of sold out shows to send off the end of the run! Whalefall was Infinithéâtre's original, experimental dive into the world of whales in the St Lawrence and beyond. A true passion project - we're sad to see it come to an end, but so glad you got to join us.

We have so many people to thank for making this happen. Thank you to Robert Michaud and Groupe de recherche et d'éducation sur les mammifères marins - GREMM, Pascale Cork, Rebecca Giggs, and Simon Lebrun for sitting down with us for interviews, and to the many other scientists and activists who allowed us to share their words in our show.

Thank you to La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines for hosting us, and CASTELIERS for co-presenting Whalefall. Thank you to the Cole Foundation for funding translations for surtitles, and to the Zeller Family Foundation, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and the Conseil des arts de Montréal for support for the production.

And, of course, thank you to all of you for joining us, sharing your thoughts, and making this such a memorable run💙

We're getting close to the end of our team series, and to the end of Whalefall! Meet Jordana Natale who has expertly guided each performance as both Lighting Designer and Technical Director for Whalefall.

"Oceans, mountains - or any monumental elements that make you feel small, can have a real impact on how you connect yourself to the rest of humanity and the natural world. Learning more about whales and their mysteries is medicine for me. Taking a moment to step into a sense of awe and wonder just helps me unclench my teeth a little."

~~~
Jordana Natale (Jo) is a Montreal based lighting designer for theatre and dance. Jo grew up in Orangeville Ontario and developed a passion for theatre from a young age. In 2023 Jo graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada, in the Production Design and Technical Arts Program. Over the last few years Jo has taken on many projects as a collaborator and associate to lighting designer Paul Chambers. Jo has recently started a part-time undergraduate program in Studio Arts at Concordia University where she hopes to grow a practice in painting and textile art.
Whalefall ends tomorrow, and our remaining shows are sold out. Thank you for joining us in the waters of Whalefall. 💙
