Barbados Sponsored Cheer Station – Sunday, May 24

The Barbados Sponsored Cheer Station will be positioned along the route of the marathon at Queen Elizabeth Drive and Delaware (the same location as last year), and we would love to have you join us to create a lively and exciting atmosphere to encourage participants in the marathon and provide visibility of the destination. We will also use this opportunity to promote the Run Barbados Marathon and Wellness Weekend in December to spectators of the marathon.



The Visit Barbados Cheer Station promises to bring the vibrant vibes of beautiful Barbados to the marathon, with DJ Selekta Shellz set to provide the sounds of soca and Caribbean music to compliment the atmosphere.

Fifteen Barbadians have departed the island to take up employment in New Brunswick, Canada, under a new overseas employment initiative facilitated through the Barbados Liaison Office in Canada and the Barbados Employment and Career Counselling Service (BECCS).
