This new Pink Triangle Press study captures what so many already know from lived experience: exclusion, stigma, and mistrust are driving a cycle of unmet health needs among 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and communities in Ontario and across Canada. Rural and racialized 2SLGBTQIA+ people face even greater barriers to affirming care.
Social workers are committed to equitable, affirming care for every person we serve. Reports like this one give us the evidence to advocate louder and push harder for the systemic change our communities deserve.
