Today we proudly mark 85 years of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, an organisation that has inspired generations of young people to aim higher, push boundaries, and develop the confidence and skills to soar.

This video captures just a glimpse of what it means to be part of the RAFAC; dedication, service, adventure, teamwork, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. From flying and fieldcraft to serving our communities and life-changing opportunities, the RAFAC continues to shape futures and strengthen our communities.

As we celebrate this milestone, we honour the volunteers, staff, cadets of past and present, whose passion and dedication have sustained this extraordinary organisation for more than eight decades.

Here's to 85 years of inspiring the next generation.

Great to see Aldermaston Squadron showcasing their air rifle shooting this week and aiming high for Bisley next month! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽฏ

Across the RAF Air Cadets, air rifle and target shooting continue to be some of our most popular and rewarding activities. Itโ€™s not just about hitting the bullseye; itโ€™s about developing skills that stay with our cadets for life.

๐Ÿ”ต What cadets learn through target shooting:

* Concentration and focus: Every shot demands calm, patience, and attention to detail.
* Discipline and responsibility: Handling equipment safely and correctly is central to every session.
* Confidence and selfโ€‘belief: Progress is measurable and personal, and cadets can see themselves improve week by week.
* Teamwork and encouragement: Whether coaching, scoring, or cheering each other on, cadets support each other to succeed.
* Competitive values: Fair play, respect, and pride in doing things the right way.

All of this takes place in a highly controlled, safe, and professionally supervised environment, giving cadets the chance to enjoy a recognised sport while building character and capability.

Best of luck to 2403 Air Cadets as they prepare for Bisley. Weโ€™re all cheering you on! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŽ–๏ธ
