CTVET MARKS PINK OCTOBER WITH BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AND GENERAL MEDICAL SCREENING
On Thursday, 29 October 2026, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), under the leadership of its Director-General, Mr Zakaria Sulemana, held a Pink October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and General Medical Screening exercise in collaboration with the Madina Community Hospital and Specialist Services.
Held at the CTVET Conference Room, the initiative reflects the Director-General’s commitment to promoting staff welfare, preventive healthcare and a healthier working environment. It also reinforces the importance of early detection, regular medical check-ups and informed health choices.
The exercise provided access to a range of screening services, including blood pressure and vital signs checks, BMI assessment, breast examinations and scans, eye screening, and laboratory tests covering kidney and liver function, cholesterol, diabetes and other health conditions. Additional services, including pelvic scans on demand, fertility tests and other diagnostic services, were also available.
Through this collaboration, CTVET continues to promote a culture of preventive healthcare, recognising that the health and well-being of staff are essential to building a productive workforce and strengthening institutional effectiveness.
Early Detection Saves Lives. Make your health a priority today for a healthier tomorrow.
