Ambassador May-Elin Stener’s visit to Hyderabad was a busy and rewarding few days, with plenty of ideas and insights to carry forward.

Meetings with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy , Minister of Information Technology D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials highlighted shared priorities and real opportunities to work more closely across sectors.

From conversations on innovation and sustainability to time spent with partners like Cyient , Norwegian aquaculture leader Skretting , Google and the Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad , it’s clear that collaboration between Norway and Telangana is growing in both depth and ambition. At T-Hub , it was inspiring to see start-ups being nurtured at such a massive scale.

A proud highlight was witnessing Norwegian design by Nordic Office of Architecture at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Ambassador Stener also took a ride on the Hyderabad Metro—a great example of clean and efficient mobility.

In between, she sampled a bit of Hyderabad on a plate: biryani at Paradise, and local favourites Irani chai, bun maska and Osmania biscuits.

Bjorn Iversen, Head of Innovation Norway in India, Silje Christine Andersen, First Secretary, and Siri Veseth Meling, Director in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were part of the visit.

Thank you, Hyderabad! We look forward to strengthening Norway–Telangana ties even further. .official
