Whilst we advise everyone stays home if possible, we know for some this isn't an option. Liberty buses are running where possible. A great link contained within this post that gives up to date info.
At present no buses on routes 4, 13, 23 - all are terminating at St Martins Public Hall.( no access to Rozel or Zoo)
No. 4 appears ok. Stay safe.
With Storm Austen doing its best to rearrange the island today, we just know what’s coming…
“Where’s my bus?”
“Why hasn’t it turned up?”
“Can’t you just drive round the tree?”
So, before the phones start ringing off the hook, here’s a quick summary of where we are:
First things first: our buses — and, more importantly, our drivers, engineers, controllers and managers are out there doing everything they can to keep people moving. We know plenty of people still need to get to work, appointments and wherever else life is taking them on a day like today.
But Storm Austen has other ideas.
There are trees down, roads closed, flooding in places, debris on the roads and winds strong enough to make holding an umbrella feel like an extreme sport. A road closure is not just a polite suggestion either — we can’t send a bus through a fallen tree, or around a corner that has temporarily become part of someone’s garden.
As much as we’d like buses to have helicopter mode, waterproof pontoons and a chainsaw in the luggage rack, sadly they do not.
That means some places may be temporarily unreachable, some buses will need to divert, and others may be running later than usual while drivers find a safe way through. Conditions can change quickly, so the information we have at breakfast may be completely different by elevenses.
We’re updating the latest route disruptions on our website as soon as our Operations team can confirm them:

We also know the phones will be busy. We understand that is frustrating, especially when you are standing in the wind wondering where your bus is. But while our team are answering calls, our drivers are still out there navigating difficult conditions and trying to keep the service moving safely.
Please bear with them. They are doing an incredible job in circumstances that are about as far from a normal day on the road as it gets.
Safety has to come first — for our passengers, our drivers and everyone else using Jersey’s roads. If your bus is delayed, diverted or unable to reach you today, it is not because someone has decided not to bother. It is because the road, the weather or the conditions have made it unsafe.
Stay safe, allow extra time if you need to travel, keep an eye on the website, and please be kind to our drivers and customer-service team.
We’ll keep going where we safely can… and hopefully, by tomorrow, we’ll all be back to complaining about something much more Jersey: the price of a pint.
