Celebrating Heritage Day 2026 at Maverley Primary & Infant School! 🇯🇲✨

Under the theme "Resilient People with a Proud Heritage," our brilliant students brought Jamaica’s rich history to life! From vibrant traditional bandana attire and dancing to interactive booths showcasing Taino history, Chinese, English, Spanish, Syrian, Lebanese roots and Jewish cultural heritage, we honored the diverse influences that truly make us "Out of Many, One People."

🎒 Giving back to where it all began! ✨

We are thrilled to celebrate the success of the 4th Annual Back-to-School Shoes and Book Drive at Maverley Primary and Infant School!

This special initiative was led by Sandra Christie Brown, Founder and CEO of the Finding Your Light Foundation and a very proud past student of Maverley Primary. Born out of the foundation's incredible Shoe Closet Initiative, this drive is all about ensuring our next generation steps into the new school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.

👟 This Year's Impact:

120 pairs of shoes donated to students in need.

100 fully loaded book bags distributed.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported this mission. When we find our light, we can help brighten the path for others! 🌟
