The Vision 2030 Jamaica Youth Thematic Working Group (TWG) met on June 4, 2026, to advance critical discussions on youth development and national planning.
A key feature of the meeting was a presentation and dialogue on the Preliminary Findings of the National Youth Policy Review, which provided members with an opportunity to examine emerging issues, trends, and priorities affecting Jamaica's youth and to offer feedback to help strengthen the policy framework.
Members also participated in an interactive Medium Term Socio-Economic Policy Framework (MTF) 2027–2030 Preparation Workshop, providing updates and recommendations to inform the development of the next MTF as it specifically relates to youth development in Jamaica.

🌪️ Hurricane season is here. Are you prepared?
The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30, making preparedness more important than ever.
We hit the streets to ask Jamaicans one simple question: “What are you doing to prepare for the hurricane season?” From stocking emergency supplies to securing homes and making family plans, everyone has a role to play in building a more resilient Jamaica.
Preparedness starts before the storm. Take the time to review your emergency plans, secure your property, and stay informed through official sources.
💬 Tell us in the comments: What steps are you taking to prepare for this hurricane season?
Together, through awareness, planning, and collective responsibility, we can help protect lives, livelihoods, and communities.

🌿☀️ June is a reminder that resilience is not just about recovering from challenges, it is about preparing for them, adapting, and continuing to thrive.
As we observe the start of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, let us prioritise preparedness, environmental stewardship, collective responsibility, and strong partnerships that help to protect lives, livelihoods, and national development.
This month, we also celebrate the importance of play for mental health and wellbeing, recognise the contributions of our public servants, private sector, civil society, and Jamaicans at home and abroad, and applaud the fathers who continue to love, guide, and support their families.
Let us support our entrepreneurs and small businesses, embrace healthy lifestyles, celebrate Jamaica’s rich culture, and work together to build a stronger, more resilient nation.
🇯🇲 Buy Jamaica. Build Jamaica.
