As part of standing up for human rights and calling for Freedom from occupation and in memory of Malta Freedom day on 31st March join us this Monday 30th March at 5:30 pm at Castille Square, Valletta to commemorate both Palestine Land Day and Malta Freedom Day!

War pigs 🇺🇸 🇮🇱
The war imposed by the US and Israel on Iran introduces a new chapter in their plans to dominate the East. From one side, Trump’s administration is trying to steal Iran’s huge oil deposits, deprive China from a cheap provider and redirect the public's attention from the Epstein scandal. On the other side, the Zionist State of Israel sees the opportunity to get rid of its only opponent in the region and thus, continue without any interruption the genocide of the Palestinians and its further expansion in Lebanon. At the same time, the militaristic economy of both States, thrives through the constant production of weapons and the development of surveillance systems.

🏴 This time, the justification for the attack was Netanyahu’s eager to ‘liberate’ Iran’s people, an eager that was quickly overturned by his even greater desire to kill children. A couple of hours after his statements, joint US and Israel bombardments targeted a school, killing 165 people, most of them girls between seven and 12 years old. The ‘liberation’ continued with further attacks on hospitals, more schools, residential areas and thousands of casualties so far.

🏴 On the other hand, Trump’s administration didn’t even bother to adopt a common approach, with Rubio saying that they started the war to protect Israel, and Trump later stating that Iran was weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon to target the US. Of course, some months ago Trump himself boasted about destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities during the 12-day war of June 2025. Also, let’s not forget that the attacks took place after Oman’s Foreign Minister stated that Iran agreed, during indirect talks with the United States, to never stockpile enriched uranium, a development that was described as a major breakthrough in the negotiations.

❌ One more time the justification for the imperialists’ crimes against humanity cannot stand common sense. Their logic and behaviour are that of common gangsters who impose their will with violence and bloodshed.

❌ International law and organisations like the UN cannot do anything to stop them, because they were invented and established by them after World War II, to legalise their victory. Now though, that capitalism has entered another of its aggressive periods through imperialism, international law means nothing as it hinders their plans. That’s why they want to impose the law of the might instead.

❌ We do not have high hopes on any solution through the UN, or international law and especially through negotiations and peace agreements made by the gangsters themselves, like the hideous ‘peace plan’ imposed by Trump in Gaza, which is constantly violated by the Israeli army.

📢 On the contrary, we believe that the only solution can come from a global antiwar movement that will stop the bloodshed imposed by the gangsters and protect people worldwide, because they are not going to stop in Iran.

✊ No participation in their imperialistic war.

50 Years of Resilience: Commemorating Palestinian Land Day

On March 30, we mark 50 years since Palestinian Land Day—a pivotal moment in 1976 when six Palestinians were killed protesting the confiscation of their land.

Today, that struggle is more urgent than ever. As we remember the past, we bear witness to the present: a genocidal war on Gaza, the displacement of over 700,000 civilians in Lebanon, escalating violence in the West Bank, and a region threatened by wider war. This is not just a historical commemoration; it is a stark reminder that the Palestinian fight for land, dignity, and freedom is the frontline of the battle against a world order based on "might is right."

Let us unite the struggles for justice. No to War. Yes to Freedom.

Join us to commemorate Palestinian Land Day alongside Malta’s Freedom Day.

‼️ Our friend and comrade Rachele Borghi in recent weeks in France has been subjected to an attack through the press and social media by the most rancid and dangerous right wing, which has led to a violent campaign of hatred against her, including death threats.
Rachele is a lecturer who takes political positions every day, criticizing the authoritarianism of academic institutions, colonial thinking, and the Palestinian genocide.
In her research and in her teaching, Rachele has always put her face, her body, and her heart on the line, personally paying the price for every action that destabilizes the system.
Rachele Borghi is one of us, and if they touch her, they touch all of us.
‼️ We are launching a support campaign for today, MONDAY, MARCH 16, and we invite everyone whose life Rachele has touched and in which she has left a beautiful mark to WRITE A POST IN SOLIDARITY on any social media platform, with text and image of your choice, but marked with the hashtags (“witch like Rachele”), or whatever you prefer, as long as you use at least the first one.
Remember that in these campaigns quantity matters, so even just two lines and a photo of your raised fist will do.
Thank you.

🔴 The attacks on Iran committed by the United States of America and Israeli government during peace negotiations are beyond our comprehension or any sense of morality.

📣 We stand united in calling these attacks as they are. They are not ‘pre-emptive strikes’ but they are unilateral actions and blatant breaches of international law. No country has a right to attack another country.

⚠️ The United States however at a whim, once again has broken faith with the Iranian government during de-escalation talks to fulfil its own interests. We have witnessed the death of children in schools and hospitals. These vicious acts can never liberate people. These acts cause suffering and we the people say no.

❗They do not care to liberate people; they are only there to fulfil their ambitions of creating a greater Israel throughout the region of West Asia.

🛢️ We see the crude oil coming out of Venezuela and we see the plan all along is to supply the US/Israeli military's life blood through another oil coup.

💣 Recent history has delivered a stark and undeniable lesson: U.S. military interventions, backed by its allies, have repeatedly failed to make any country better. From Iraq to Libya to Syria to Yemen, the promise of freedom gave way to instability, fractured societies, and prolonged suffering.

🚨 Their intent is to cripple the region and bend it to their desires without regard for any people’s right to national sovereignty. They violate international law without care or consequence and kill innocent civilians - children and vulnerable people.

💔 Our eyes and hearts are with the Iranian people and the lives lost within the region as a DIRECT result of these attacks. Whilst the Israeli and U.S. aggression continues, we see their attempt at widening their occupation within Palestine and in Lebanon. They continue to redraw their borders as they have done for decades. We see them. We hear them.

🩸 The genocide is still ongoing in Gaza. Palestinians are continuously being expelled from their homes and are facing violent assaults from Israeli settlers’ who are protected by their own Israeli army. Israel is detaining hundreds of Palestinians without trial including children.

⚫ Furthermore, Israel just introduced the death penalty which will allow the government to execute any innocent Palestinian detained illegally without a trial.

🇱🇧 In Lebanon, Israel continues to violate ceasefire agreements and has not left Lebanese territory since November 2024, against international law. Israel attacks indiscriminately what little sovereignty Lebanon has left. These attacks are driving repeated waves of displacement, damaging civilian infrastructure and preventing thousands of people from returning to their villages to rebuild.

💥 Israel’s new war on Iran during this month of Ramadan is unlawful and the war is NOT OVER. We witness the massacres and death toll rising. As for Palestine and Lebanon, Israel aims to destroy any semblance of resistance as it paves the way to the Zionist occupation and settlement.

📢 We call on the Maltese Government to affirm its commitment to international law and human rights, and to uphold its constitutional duty to actively pursue peace and security, by condemning this illegal war on Iran, Lebanon and Palestine.

📍 To the Maltese public, join us as we stand united - this Saturday 7th March at 3 pm in front of the US embassy.

28/2/2023: We won't forget - We won't forgive

28/02/2026

📢 Today we gather outside the Greek Embassy (Ta' Xbiex) at 12:00, as a minimum tribute to the 57 fellow human beings who lost their lives and to those who were injured three years ago.
This was a crime that is the result of neoliberal policies that permeate the entire spectrum of our social life - from healthcare and education to transport safety - placing human lives below profits.
We don’t forget - We don’t forgive.
Justice for the victims of the Tempi crime!

25/02/2026

‼️ We call for a protest on 28th February to commemorate the 57 lives lost in the Tempi train disaster three years ago. This was not a "tragic accident" but the result of systemic negligence of Greece's railway safety. We demand for truth and justice for the victims of a state crime that the Greek government has not been yet held accountable for.

🚫 Throughout this entire period, the state has done nothing but attempt to cover up the crime. The theatre began with crocodile tears and promises, while at the same time the crime scene was being bulldozed - even with the Prime Minister’s knowledge - in order to make evidence disappear or be altered. Subsequently, once the victims’ families organized to demand justice and rallied almost the entirety of the Greek people around them, the strategy of those responsible shifted to insults, threats, and the circulation of lies against them, repression of demonstrators, arbitrary changes of investigating judges and prosecutors, and even the leaking of fake videos, supposedly to prove that the freight train was not carrying illegal cargo. Clearly, for the state, the 57 dead, the dozens injured, and the safety of transportation pale in comparison to protecting “their own” smugglers.

📚 The result of this effort is that the case has reached the courtroom in a mutilated form, buried within a chaotic case file of thousands of pages, while none of the key and competent members of the government -or of the previous ones- face any charges whatsoever.

🚧 At the same time, and despite the initial commitments, absolutely nothing has been done to improve safety in the railway network, with accidents continuing across the country.

📢 For our part, this Saturday we will gather outside the Greek Embassy (No. 6, Ir-Rampa Ta' Xbiex) at 12:00, as a minimum tribute to the 57 fellow human beings who lost their lives and to those who were injured. We will also be there to stress once again that this was not a matter of bad luck or a single incompetent station master, but a crime that is the result of neoliberal policies that permeate the entire spectrum of our social life - from healthcare and education to transport safety - placing human lives below profits.

We don’t forget - We don’t forgive.

Justice for the victims of the Tempi crime!

On Saturday artists, communities, organisations, and many others came together in a march from Parliament to the Ministry for Culture, raising one united voice 📣

Malta - No Music for Genocide❗

As Spain, Iceland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Ireland have done, Malta still has the opportunity to choose the side of justice and refrain from participating in this year’s Eurovision while the genocidal state of Israel is permitted to compete.

Bodies believed to be migrants wash ashore in Italy after storms 20/02/2026

‼️ Once again, deaths at Europe’s borders expose the brutality of EU migration policy. Following Tuesday night’s events, the Greek Coast Guard - acting on political orders and in line with EU strategy - caused the deaths of 15 migrants on the island of Chios. Dozens more were injured, including ten children and two pregnant women who miscarried. These are not accidents, but the result of deliberate political choices.

🔴 European leaders poison our societies with racism to distract from their wars, economic violence and the systematic devaluation of human life. Some lives are treated as disposable, both within and beyond Europe, in the name of power and profit.

❌ The European Union and its member states finance this daily war at the borders against people fleeing destruction created by those same policies - policies that impoverish countries, devastate entire regions and plunder the Global South. The same governments that fund massacres and refuse refuge to those escaping them must be held accountable.

🔴 While Italian and Maltese authorities debated how many millions will be needed for reconstruction after Cyclone Harry, almost no one spoke of the more than 1,000 people who died at sea during those same hours as the storm hit our coasts. Another thousand lives added to the mass grave European leaders have turned the Mediterranean into.

🚫 As a new fascism takes hold across Europe and “European values” become synonymous with death at the borders, we refuse to remain silent. We mourn the victims of Cyclone Harry, and we demand an immediate end to the war against the poor and the persecuted - an end to all wars: military, economic and social.

⚖️ We also demand justice for the cold-blooded murder of our brothers and sisters at sea, at the borders, and within our countries, and we demand that those responsible - both the physical perpetrators and the moral accomplices - be held accountable and confronted with their crimes.

✊ No more deaths for the profits and power of capitalists!

Bodies believed to be migrants wash ashore in Italy after storms At least 15 bodies, believed to be those of migrants, have washed ashore on Italy's coasts in recent days. Authorities confirmed the discoveries on Tuesday along beaches in Sicily and Calabria's southern region.
