In the spirit of compassion and service during the holy month of Ramadan, Amb. Umulkhaer Onaolamipo Ahmed Alaiye, Yeye-Oge of Ogun State and Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, will host ARUGBO RAMONI RAMADAN IFTAR to support elderly members of the community.

The programme, held on behalf of His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, reflects the Governor’s enduring commitment to humanitarian service, compassion for the vulnerable, and inclusive governance that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

Through this initiative, 500 aged people will be hosted and provided with Iftar meals.

Delegates Removed from Party Primary Elections, Now It’s “One Member, One Vote.”

Under the new Electoral Act signed into law by Bola Ahmed Tinubu after it was forwarded to him by the National Assembly, the use of indirect primaries (delegate system) has been completely abolished as a method for political parties to select their candidates.

The new law clearly states that political parties can no longer use the delegate system to choose candidates. Now, only two official methods remain:

1. Direct Primaries: where every registered party member has the right to vote directly.

2. Consensus: (internal agreement) where the party and aspirants agree on a single candidate, with others stepping down voluntarily.

This new law means that all registered party members now have full voting power in direct primary elections “one member, one vote” instead of limiting that power to selected delegates.

Your Excellency, I express my profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for using you as an instrument of favour in my life. Out of millions of Kwarans, you found me worthy of recognition and service. Though I may not be the best, Almighty Allah, who sent you as a blessing to Kwara State, has shown me uncommon mercy through your leadership.

I sincerely thank you, sir, for your confidence, trust, and support. I reaffirm my unwavering loyalty and commitment to the success of your administration and the continued progress of Kwara State.

Born on January 25, 1958, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has remained a symbol of purposeful leadership, visionary governance, and unwavering commitment to public service. His contributions to the political and infrastructural development of Ogun State and Nigeria are widely acknowledged and celebrated.

The Yeye-Oge of Ogun State, crowned by Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2014 during Community Day organized by the Ogun State Ministry of Community Development and Co-operative, where over 10,000 community members were present, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to community engagement and mobilization, and later appointed as Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Ogun State in 2017 during Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s administration due to her political activities and involvement, expresses her heartfelt gratitude for the honour, invaluable mentorship, and unwavering support extended to her—an opportunity that profoundly shaped her leadership journey and personal growth.

Currently serving as the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kwara State on Civic Engagement, under the administration of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Amb.
