ILLEGAL NARRA LUMBER WORTH OVER P36K CONFISCATED IN PARACELIS
In line with the intensified implementation of the PNP Master Plan SANGYAMAN, joint operatives from Paracelis Municipal Police Station and the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO)-Paracelis successfully confiscated illegally abandoned Narra lumber in Barangay Bunot, Paracelis, Mt Province on May 31, 2026.
The operation yielded a total volume of 227.21 board feet of assorted Narra dimensions, with an estimated market value of PHP 36,353.39. The seized lumber was subsequently turned over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-Paracelis for proper documentation, safekeeping, and disposition in accordance with existing environmental laws and regulations.
The MPPPO reiterated its appeal to the public to refrain from engaging in illegal logging activities and to actively support efforts to protect the environment. Authorities emphasized that preserving the province's natural resources is a shared responsibility and a vital step in reducing the risks posed by natural disasters.

A 40-year-old wanted individual was arrested by joint law enforcement teams in Sabangan, Mountain Province, on June 1, 2026.
The accused, a resident of Panabungen, Besao, Mountain Province, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by a competent court for Robbery by the Use of Force Upon Things with a recommended bail of Php36,000.00.
The operation was a collaborative effort of the personnel of Mountain Province Police Provincial Office alongside the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (1502nd MC), Regional Intelligence Division Cordillera (RID CAR), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG MP PFU), PIT-MP RIU 14, and PIT-Bohol RID 7.
This accomplishment highlights the Mountain Province Police Provincial Officeโs relentless drive to track down fugitives, sending a clear message that no matter how remote the terrain or how far they run, lawbreakers cannot evade the reach of justice.

LOOK: Personnel of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office (MPPPO), led by PCOL MARCELO B POLIG, Provincial Director, joined the 1st Monday Flag Raising Ceremony for June held at the Provincial Plaza in Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from various provincial and local government offices.
During the program, the people of Mountain Province also honored Ms. Lyneree Montero Yodong for proudly representing the province in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant and Ms. Islay Erica Bomogao for her outstanding achievements in Muay Thai. Their accomplishments have brought honor and pride to Mountain Province, inspiring the community and showcasing the talent, determination, and excellence of its people.

๐๐๐๐: On May 28, 2026, the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Barangay Consultation and Serbisyo Caravan reached Barangay Banguitan, Besao to deliver essential government services and vital peace initiatives to residents. The outreach featured an array of free public assistance, including medical and dental services, legal consultations through the Public Attorneyโs Office, Free haircuts, PhilHealth YAKAP registration, and TESDA enrollment. Agriculture and livelihoods also received a boost through the distribution of free seedlings and veterinary medicines by the Provincial Veterinary Office.
The event also served as a platform for community safety education, led by the Mountain Province police force. PLTCOL APDILON C GALONG, Chief PCADU, informed them on the efforts of the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office to maintain local peace and order, calling on residents to uphold the rights of women and children under the PNPโs Oplan Tagapagpatupad, the organizationโs anti-rape and anti-gender-based violence campaign, and RA 9344. He further reminded store owners not to sell liquor to minors.
Furthering the security briefing, Pat John F. Bocalan discussed the mandate of the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (RPSB) Team under Executive Order No. 70, including the conduct of BPATs Training to strengthen barangay force multipliers and the implementation of the MYPD Program to empower the youth against terrorism and illegal drugs.
Wrapping up the caravan, officials presented the Barangay Development Plan of Barangay Banguitan, Besao, identifying priority issues and concerns, for future funding and support.
