INTENSIFIED MANHUNT YIELDS RESULTS:
CCPO CAPTURES TOP 3 MUNICIPAL MOST WANTED FOR HOMICIDE
The Cebu City Police Office, under the leadership of PCOL RICKY C SUMALDE, Acting City Director, intensified its manhunt operations, resulting in the arrest of a Top 3 Municipal Most Wanted Person for Homicide on the afternoon of October 20, 2026, in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City. The arrest was carried out by personnel of Police Station 9 through the service of a Warrant of Arrest.
The accused, a male individual, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 15, Cebu City, on October 19, 2026, for the crime of Homicide, with recommended bail set at ₱120,000.00.
Upon arrest, the accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language and dialect known to him. He was subsequently placed under temporary detention at the Guadalupe Custodial Facility pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court.
PCOL RICKY C SUMALDE emphasized that the arrest reflects the CCPO’s firm commitment to tracking down wanted persons and ensuring that they are brought before the proper courts to face the charges against them. He also underscored the importance of conducting lawful police operations while upholding the constitutional rights of every individual.
