JUST IN: Mayor Nestor Archival announced on Wednesday, May 6, that Cebu City is among the areas placed under special non-working holidays from May 6 to 8, 2026.

The declaration, issued through an amended memorandum signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto under the authority of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is intended to support the conduct of the ASEAN Summit and ensure public safety and efficient traffic management.
