Regular inspections were recently conducted in boarding houses, apartments, and other related establishments to ensure compliance, safety, and proper standards for our community.

At the same time, our office is actively introducing the Nano Enterprise Ordinance to small business owners with an annual capital of less than ₱250,000. This program aims to encourage unregistered or first-time applicants to secure their permits, helping regulate their operations while providing guidance and support from our office. Through this initiative, we aim to uplift and empower our local entrepreneurs as part of a growing and inclusive economy.

Mr. Rammy Guintibano, Chairman of the Boarding House Commission and Task Force – IGCAPP, served as the Resource Speaker during the Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao - Barangay Assembly Day (1st Semester CY 2026), held on March 28, 2026, at Brgy. Bolilao Covered Gym, Mandurriao.

He also discussed the Nano Enterprise Ordinance of Iloilo City, an initiative authored by Miguel Treñas and strongly supported under the leadership of Raisa S. Treñas. This program aims to empower small-scale businesses, including boarding houses and other micro-establishments, by providing incentives such as significant discounts on business permit fees and simplified registration processes—helping entrepreneurs operate legally and sustainably.

The program is open to enterprises with a capital of ₱250,000 or below. Qualified applicants may avail of up to a 75% discount on permit fees during their initial application, making it easier and more affordable for small business owners to comply with city regulations.
