SAN LORENZO, CAMARINES NORTE | May 26, 2026 - NCSC Commissioner Hon. Ret. Judge Leo L. Intia paid a courtesy visit to Municipal Mayor Sheila Delos Santos of San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte to discuss possible collaborations and strengthen partnerships in delivering programs and services dedicated to the municipalityโs senior citizens.
During the meeting, both officials exchanged insights and discussed various initiatives focused on promoting the rights, welfare, and overall well-being of elderly Filipinos. Among the matters tackled were community-based programs, healthcare and wellness initiatives, information dissemination campaigns, and support mechanisms that aim to provide more accessible and responsive services for senior citizens in the municipality.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of coordination between the local government unit and the NCSC in ensuring that programs for senior citizens are effectively implemented and continuously improved. Commissioner Intia highlighted the NCSCโs commitment to working closely with local government units in advancing policies and initiatives that uphold the dignity and welfare of the elderly sector.
Mayor Delos Santos likewise expressed her support for the agencyโs programs and reaffirmed the municipalityโs commitment to creating a more inclusive, compassionate, and senior citizen-friendly community through strengthened collaboration and public service.
The courtesy visit served as an opportunity to further solidify the partnership between the NCSC and the Municipality of San Lorenzo Ruiz in promoting programs that will positively impact the lives of senior citizens and ensure that they remain valued and cared for members of society.

DAET, CAMARINES NORTE | May 26, 2026 - Newly installed NCSC Commissioner, Hon. Ret. Judge Leo L. Intia, appeared during the 20th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Daet to strengthen collaboration in promoting the rights, welfare, and benefits of Filipino senior citizens, particularly in the Municipality of Daet, Camarines Norte.
During his presentation, Commissioner Intia highlighted the banner programs of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), including the Expanded Centenarian Act, the establishment of Senior Citizens Centers (SCC), and SECADNA (Senior Citizensโ Action for Development and Nation-Building). He also emphasized the importance of inclusive programs, accessible services, and stronger partnerships between local government units and the NCSC to ensure that every senior citizen receives the care, recognition, and support they deserve.
The session served as an avenue to reaffirm the shared commitment of both the NCSC and the Local Government of Daet in creating a more age-friendly, compassionate, and empowered community for all senior citizens.

Hindi kailangang i-print o i-laminate ang digital National Senior Citizens ID (NSCID), gayundin ang inyong Registration Reference Number (RRN) mula sa NCSC website.
Ang screenshot ng digital NSCID ay lehitimo at sapat na para magamit sa pag-avail ng mga benepisyo at serbisyo habang ang printed RRN ay hindi required para sa pag-apply sa Expanded Centenarians Act (ECA) Cash Gift.
Mahigpit ding ipinagbabawal ang paniningil para sa pag-print o pag-laminate ng NSCID at RRN. Kung may naniningil para sa mga serbisyong ito, agad itong i-report sa NCSC para sa kaukulang aksyon.

Ayon kay Atty. Gutierrez, malakas ang panawagan ng sektor ng senior citizens sa pamahalaan at umaasang diringin ito ng Kongreso para sa kaukulang pondo.

Regional Director Atty. Ma. Clarissa Lavena Bombase-Pacamarra of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Regional Office V met with the Local Chief Executive of Iriga City-, Hon. Wilfredo Rex C. Oliva, together with the OSCA Head - Mr. Perfecto M. Gascon , City Architect - Arch. Romano R. Alvano, and the Assistant OSCA Head - Marjorie R. Terano, to discuss the establishment of a Senior Citizens Center and the infrastructure needed to bring this vision to life.
More than just a building, the proposed center is envisioned to become a welcoming space where older persons can gather, stay active, access health and social services, and participate in meaningful recreational and community activities. It will serve as a place where senior citizens can continue to thrive, connect, and enjoy their golden years with dignity and purpose.
The discussion also underscored the unwavering support of the Local Government Unit of Iriga City for programs and initiatives that uplift the lives of senior citizens. Through its strong partnership with the NCSC and other stakeholders, the city continues to champion the rights, welfare, and well-being of older persons, ensuring that they remain valued and empowered members of the community.
Together, we are building not only a center, but also a stronger, more age-friendly Iriga Cityโone that honors the contributions of its senior citizens and embraces a future where every older person is cared for, respected, and given opportunities to live life to the fullest.

The Provincial Government of Masbate, headed by Hon. Atty. Richard Kho, Governor, and Hon. Fernando P. Talisic, Vice Governor, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), successfully conducted the 2026 1st Semester Meeting of C/MSWDOs, Senior Citizens Program Focals, OSCAs, and MFSCAP Presidents on May 28, 2026, at Bamโs Resto Bar, JM Robredo Ext., Brgy. Bagumbayan, Masbate City.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Amie Marie E. Castillo, RSW, OIC-PSWDO, together with the two Social Welfare Officers I, Ms. Eden Flores, RSW, from the NCSC Regional Office and her staff, as well as the C/MSWDOs, Senior Citizens Program Focals, OSCAs, and MFSCAP Presidents from the different municipalities and the lone city of the province.
The activity served as a venue for strengthening collaboration and discussing important updates and concerns relative to the implementation of the Expanded Centenarian Act Program (RA 11982), including MC 02, Series of 2024, and MC 01, Series of 2025; emerging concerns on ECA implementation; self-adjudication; encoding in the online masterlist; presentation of paid and unpaid grantees; updating of centenarian grantees; and ECA funding compliance.
The meeting also covered the presentation of the amended CBL of MPFSCAI, the 2026 database of senior citizens, preparations for the Senior Citizens Congress, and other relevant matters aimed at enhancing programs and services for the welfare and protection of senior citizens in the province.

A meaningful dialogue meeting was successfully conducted between the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC Region V) and Universidad de Sta. Isabel de Naga, Inc. โ Social Work Department to discuss possible areas of collaboration in research, community engagement, internship, and field placement opportunities for Social Work students.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to advancing programs, studies, and evidence-based initiatives that will address the emerging needs and concerns of older persons in the region. Both institutions recognized the importance of strengthening research and data gathering on issues affecting senior citizens to serve as basis for future social reforms, policy recommendations, programs, and responsive interventions for the elderly sector.
The dialogue also highlighted existing gaps in the delivery of services and interventions for senior citizens. Through this partnership, NCSC Region V and USI Naga hope to bridge these gaps by strengthening advocacy, research, community immersion, and social protection mechanisms that will make services more accessible and responsive to the realities faced by the elderly sector.
NCSC Region V & USI Naga envision a stronger partnership that promotes dignity, protection, evidence-based policymaking, and inclusive care for every Filipino senior citizen.

In line with strengthening the alignment of policies, programs, and initiatives among national and local government agencies, NCSC Region V Regional Director Atty. Clarissa Lavena Bombase Pacamarra paid a courtesy visit to Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DepDev) Region V Regional Director Edna Cynthia S. Berces.
The meeting focused on fostering collaboration and discussing the possible inclusion and participation of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) in the Regional Gender and Development (GAD) Committee. Through this partnership, NCSC aims to further advocate for programs and policies that promote the welfare and protection of senior citizens in the region.
The collaboration will provide an avenue to address various issues affecting older persons, including livelihood opportunities, access to healthcare services, elder abuse prevention, caregiving support, and other concerns commonly experienced by senior citizens in their communities.
Moreover, this initiative is expected to strengthen the commitment of member agencies and organizations in developing more responsive, inclusive, and sustainable programs and services that will improve the quality of life of senior citizens and uphold their rights and dignity.
