Let us be clear.
The responsibility for this vision does not rest on the shoulders of our elected officials alone. It rests on all of us. Our people have as much responsibility to uphold good governance as their leaders have to practice it. Hindi nag-tatapos ang tungkulin bilang mamayan sa araw ng halalan. Ang ating responsibilidad ay nagpapatuloy sa araw-araw, sa pagsusunod sa batas, sa pag-galang sa kapwa, sa pangagalaga ng ating komunidad, pati na din sa pagiging mapanuri sa pag-gamit ng pondo ng bayan.
𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞. And with the continued leadership of Mayor Vico Sotto in the executive branch, the cooperation of our barangays, our civil society partners, the private sector and our active citizens, we can give a Pasig that demonstrates what is possible when government and people work together with a common purpose.
We have the opportunity to show the rest of the country that the city can progress without compromising integrity. The development can be inclusive and that government can earn the trust of its people through transparency, and accountability. Let us together build our city where progress is measured not only by economic growth, but also by the strength of our institutions, the character of our citizens, and the opportunities we bring for future generations.
Our accomplishments give us reason to be proud. Our challenges give us reason to persevere, and our shared responsibility gives us reason to believe that the best years of Pasig are still ahead of us. Kaya naman sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang Pasig na may matibay na pundasyon ng integridad, bukas na pamamahala at tunay na malasakit sa kapwa.
