Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

The arrested suspect was identified as alias “Jemar,” 29 years old, a Grab driver and a resident of Brgy. 171, Caloocan City.

Based on initial investigation, the 52-year-old male victim was walking home with a companion when he was shot by one of the suspects aboard a motorcycle, resulting in his death. Concerned citizens in the area immediately reported the incident to PS 6.

Upon coordination with barangay officials and interviews with residents in the area, the suspect and his residence were identified. Operatives of CIDU, together with personnel of PS 6, then conducted a hot pursuit operation, resulting in the suspect’s arrest at around 12:13 AM on June 5, 2026.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a red “MOVE IT” half-face helmet, a green long-sleeved garment bearing “GRAB” markings, a pair of cream rubber shoes, a gray Honda Click motorcycle, and a TECNO Android cellular phone.

The suspect will be charged with Murder before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, while follow-up operations remain ongoing to identify and apprehend the gunman who remains at large.
