After fifteen (15) days of deployment, operational planning, incident management, emergency response readiness, resource coordination, and field support operations, the Provincial Incident Management Team and Emergency Response Team of PDRRMO-Surigao del Norte formally concludes its augmentation mission for the Palarong Pambansa 2026 in Agusan del Sur.
This deployment tested not only our operational capabilities, but also our endurance, adaptability, and commitment to public service. Through long operational periods, dynamic field conditions, and evolving mission requirements, our personnel remained steadfast in ensuring that support was available whenever and wherever needed.
PDRRMO-SDN extends its sincerest gratitude to Governor Santiago "Santi" B. Cane Jr. for his unwavering support and trust in the team's capabilities. We likewise express our appreciation to Mr. Armando R. Gomez, EMDRCM, Provincial DRRM Officer, for his leadership, guidance, and commitment to excellence throughout the deployment.
We also thank Hon. Robert Lyndon S. Barbers, Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte, the participating Local Government Units, Incident Management Teams, emergency responders, partner agencies, volunteers, and all personnel who worked alongside us in pursuit of a safe, orderly, and successful Palarong Pambansa 2026.

The Municipality of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur jointly celebrates continuing operations with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office โ Surigao del Norte (PDRRMO-SDN) for its vital support and seamless coordination throughout the conduct of the Palarong Pambansa 2026 operations.
As shared by the Municipal Mayor, Pauline Marie R. Masendo, RN - the Provincial Incident Management Team and Emergency Response Team was recognized for its attentive and responsive coordination with the local government, ensuring that operational needs on the ground were properly addressed and supported throughout the event.
โDako kaayo among pasalamat sa Provincial Incident Management Team ug Responders sa Surigao del Norte. Sa tanang augmentation forces nga among na-uban, isa sila sa labing nakapaminaw sa among tinuod nga panginahanglan ug kanunay nga nakigtambayayong nga harmonioso sa pagpatuman sa operasyon.
Ang ilang kooperasyon, pagpasabot, ug tinuod nga pag-uban sa ground nakahatag ug mas hapsay, mas organisado, ug mas epektibong pagdumala sa tibuok kalihokan.โ
PDRRMO-SDN likewise acknowledges the strong partnership with the Municipality of Talacogon, which contributed to a more coordinated, efficient, and well-aligned operational flow throughout the duration of the event.

Even prior to the official opening of the 66th Palarong Pambansa on May 24, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Surigao del Norte had already commenced deployment and operational support activities in Agusan del Sur beginning May 17.
Upon the directive of Governor ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, and in response to the request for augmentation from Agusan del Sur Governor ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ผ โ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถโ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ, ๐๐ฟ., PDRRMO-SDN deployed its Provincial Incident Management Team, PDRRMO-ASSERT personnel, ambulance teams, and responders to assist in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the national sporting event.
Since arrival, deployed personnel have been conducting continuous 24-hour duty cycles across multiple venues and operational areas, including the Municipality of Talacogon, Agusan del Sur.
Operational activities include:
โข Emergency medical response and patient extrication
โข Incident Management Team operations and reporting
โข Venue and crowd safety support
โข Emergency standby and rapid response operations
โข Coordination with local MDRRMOs and partner agencies
โข Safety coverage for sporting venues and billeting areas
PDRRMO-SDN remains committed to supporting inter-local coordination efforts and maintaining operational readiness throughout the duration of the games.
