At 16, he continues to lead with passion and excellence, proving that he is truly the "heart" of our student government. In line with Presidential Proclamation No. 760, s. 2014, which declares the observance of Zero Waste Month every January, we are called to strengthen environmental responsibility and promote sustainable waste management practices within our community.

Zero waste is more than a practice; it is a mindset. It challenges us to be mindful, responsible, and proactive in caring for our surroundings. As learners and leaders, we hold the power to influence change by choosing sustainability over convenience and responsibility over neglect.

Following the feasts from the holiday season, many households are left with excess food that often goes to waste. At the same time, millions of people continue to experience hunger and food. Conserving food is not just a personal responsibility but a global necessity to ensure that resources are used wisely and that everyone has enough to eat in the future.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), there are several effective ways to conserve food, including:

-Proper meal planning
-Correct food storage
-Using leftovers creatively
-Understanding expiration dates
-Sharing excess food

Conserving food may seem like a small action, but its impact is significant. Every effort counts. If we choose to conserve food today, we take an important step toward a future where everyone can enjoy a full plate tomorrow. 🍽️
