A proud and inspiring moment for Sindh sports!

His Excellency Mr. Ergül Kadak, Turkish Consul General, visited the NED University Athletics Track to encourage and support Ms. Kainat Khalil, the youngest runner athlete of Sindh, Pakistan.

The distinguished guest was warmly received by Mr. Ismail Shah, District Sports Officer Karachi East, and Syed Mehdi Shah, Director Culture Department, along with the sports management team of NED University, including Dr. Ali Hassan (Director Students Affairs), Ms. Farkhanda Jabeen (Manager Sports), and Mr. Muhammad Hamza Laiq (Secretary to the Consul General). Mr. Abu Bakar, coach of Kainat Khalil, was also present on the occasion.

The visit reflects the importance of nurturing young talent and strengthening international goodwill through sports. Together, we continue to inspire the next generation of athletes and support excellence in sports.

🏸Opening Ceremony of the BWF Air Badminton Championship 2026 🏸

The Sindh Badminton Association proudly organized the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Air Badminton Championship 2026 at Whales College, District East, Karachi.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Munawar Ali Mahesar, Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Dr. Asad Ishaque, Director Sports Sindh; Mr. Wajid Ali Chaudhry, President Pakistan Badminton Federation; Syed Muhammad Habibullah, Deputy Director Youth Affairs; Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association; Mr. Ismail Shah, District Sports Officer Karachi East; Mr. Fareed Ali, District Sports Officer South; Mr. Farhan Lashari; and other distinguished guests and dignitaries.

The championship reflects the collective commitment of sports stakeholders towards the promotion and development of badminton and healthy sporting activities across Sindh and Pakistan.

The Phase-1 Divisional Level competitions of the 2nd Al-Kabir All Pakistan Karate Club Championship, organized nationwide by the Pakistan Karate Federation, were held on Sunday, 31 May, at the Sindh Youth Club Gymnasium, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi, under the auspices of the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh.

The Chief Guest of the championship was Mr. Ismail Shah, District Sports Officer, while the Guest of Honour was Sensei Muhammad Rafiq, Secretary of the Sindh Judo Association. They awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals to the successful players.

The winning male and female teams of the championship have qualified for Phase-2 (Provincial Level) and will represent Karachi in the next stage of the competition.

Chairman of the Sindh Karate Association, Sensei Naseem Qureshi, congratulated both selected teams and extended his best wishes for success in the upcoming provincial round.

🏅 Congratulations to all the athletes and organizers for the successful conduct of the championship.
