Met Syed again at Tiong Bahru Market.
Behind this stall is a family story built over years of hard work. Together with his father, Syed helps manage several Muslim food outlets across Singapore but you’ll still find him here on the ground, preparing food and chatting with regular customers.
Sometimes the best stories are hidden inside our everyday hawker centres.
A simple brunch, meaningful conversations ❤️
We met Lim Popo at Commonwealth Close, who turns 103 this December. She shared her daily routine with us - kaya bread and teh susu in the morning, hearty lunches, and soup for dinner.
Always nice to have a chat and listen to stories from our residents in the neighbourhood.

The resident was not home, but they left a handwritten note saying: "Keep up with the good work.”
Sometimes, the smallest moments during house visits stay with you the longest.
