Don’t ghost your people. If a friend seems off tonight — quieter, skipping the group, saying things that don’t sound like them — check in for real. Listen. Take them seriously. Stay with them. Help them call or text 988. Connection is the opposite of disappearing.

According to the CDC; No to***co products, including e-cigarettes, are safe. This is especially true for youth, whose brains are still developing until about age 25. Using ni****ne during these years can harm the parts of the brain that control attention, learning, mood, and impulse control.

The most common reason students give for TRYING an e-cigarette is because a friend used them.
The most common reason students give for CURRENTLY USING e-cigarettes is feeling anxious, stressed, or depressed.

Parents, educators, and heath care providers can talk to youth about va**ng and help them learn healthy coping skills instead of va**ng such as:

*Recognizing and managing stressful feelings.
*Practicing relaxation techniques.
*Building a support system.
*Practicing self-care.
*Staying active.
