“The Maine State Chamber of Commerce has had serious concerns with the escalation of the trade dispute with Canada and we welcome today’s announcement to eliminate tariffs on key Canadian imports that are integrated with Maine’s economic supply chain. We appreciate the leadership of Senator Collins and others in our congressional delegation and encourage the U.S. and Canadian governments to build on this announcement by finalizing a durable trade agreement that would lower costs for consumers and provide predictability for our businesses and economy.”
