🎃 Bainbridge Island Downtown Association presents Hometown Halloween 2026! 👻

Downtown merchants welcome all ghosts and goblins, witches and warlocks to ramble Winslow Way in search of tasty treats, spooky tunes and more!
We can’t wait to have our community out trick-or-treating at our downtown businesses! 🍬🍫🍭

Saturday, October 31st, Winslow Way between Ericksen and Madison will be closed to through traffic from 2:30 to 7:00 pm. (Pedestrians have right of way from 4:00 – 6:00)

The Bainbridge Island Downtown Association’s mission is to build and sustain community through a vibrant downtown. This year’s Hometown Halloween appreciates the generosity of our co-sponsor, the City of Bainbridge Island and Eagle Harbor Church.

Events like this would not happen without participation from our community, volunteers, businesses and local organizations. BIDA and the community of Bainbridge Island thanks you!

Thieves are actively targeting easy opportunities. Most recent car thefts and vehicle prowls involved unlocked doors, keys left inside, or valuables left in plain sight.

Another great find by K9 Whitney! 🐾

Whitney was called out to help locate a juvenile who had eloped on Bainbridge Island and had been missing in the woods for about an hour. She got to work and successfully located the child, who was found safe!

Big shoutout to the officers who assisted with the search and helped bring this to a safe ending!

Proud of this girl and the work she continues to do for our community! 🐶💙

Abandoned and derelict vessels aren’t just eyesores—they are serious hazards to navigation, public safety, and our local marine environment.

Our team works hard to remove these safety risks before they can sink, block busy channels, or leak toxic fluids into our beautiful waters.

Once we seize an abandoned boat, we prioritize environmentally responsible disposal. By transporting it directly to a certified marine recycling center, we ensure that hazardous materials are safely stripped and the hull is crushed and recycled properly.
