🚧 CAUTION: Excessive Halloween fun ahead! 🎃🍬

We're hanging out with our Bangor Parks and Recreation friends at their Touch-a-Truck & Treat event at the Cross Insurance Center and as you can see, we've brought a few of our finest traffic control specialists. 😂

We'll be here for the next couple of hours with some BIG equipment, plenty of candy, and absolutely no shortage of questionable fashion choices!

Come say hello, check out our newest truck (The Snow Mauler) and grab some treats! 🧡✈️

And bless Eric and Wade for always going along with Angel's ideas, no matter how ridiculous they get. At this point, we're pretty sure they deserve hazard pay. 🤣🚧

💀🐻 Now THIS is some serious Black Bear pride!

We spotted this gem from last weekend's UMaine Homecoming festivities and couldn't help but smile!

Our friends at Bouchard Cleaning & Restoration DKI brought along one of the BGR Black Bears paws we handed out at Friends & Family Weekend, and gave it a little Halloween flair!

We love seeing our community spirit out and about, especially when it comes with this much personality! 😂

⚡𝘎𝘙𝘌𝘈𝘛 𝘚𝘊𝘖𝘛𝘛! Monty got his hooves on a DeLorean, found 1.21 gigawatts of power, and is now convinced he can hit 88 MPH on the BGR airfield. (The Ops team is on the way to have a word with him. 😬)

𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘺!

On October 21, 2015, Marty McFly arrived in what was then THE FUTURE. Eleven years later, we're still waiting for flying cars, but for now, we've at least got the flying part covered! ✈️😉

We're curious...if you could hop into Monty's time machine and travel to any decade, past or future, where would you go?

They may be high above the airfield, but they're at the heart of everything that happens here at BGR!

Today is International Day of the Air Traffic Controller, and we're sending a big 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to our friends at Bangor Tower BGR ATCT!

From the first departure of the morning to the arrivals that come long after most of us have called it a day, these dedicated professionals help keep aircraft moving safely through our skies.

It's a job that requires incredible focus, precision, and the ability to stay cool under pressure. And we're grateful to have such a great team watching over our corner of the aviation world.

We appreciate you, Bangor Tower! 💙

👻 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐆𝐑! 🎃

If you've ever flown through Bangor International Airport and wondered whether those creepy little Langoliers might be lurking somewhere nearby... well, this episode of 𝑶𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒍𝒚 is for YOU. 😳

More than 30 years ago, Hollywood came to Bangor when Stephen King's The Langoliers was filmed right here at BGR. And apparently, some of those toothy little monsters never quite left our reputation behind. 😂

Just in time for Halloween, we're taking a trip back to the early 1990's with three people who know a thing or two about what happened when the cameras started rolling! 🎬

Joining us are BGR retirees Heidi Suletzki and Bob Jarvis, who experienced the filming firsthand (and Bob even made it onto the screen!), along with local Stephen King historian and former Betts Bookstore owner Stu Tinker.

We're talking movie magic, airport memories, and a little Bangor history that might just make you look twice the next time you're walking through our terminal. 👀

🏆 WELL, WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! Apparently, we're kind of a big deal. 😁

Our friends at WBLM recently shared a list of New England's busiest airports, and guess who landed at number EIGHT?

Yep. Little ol' BGR.

Now, before anyone gets too excited, let's acknowledge that New England only has six states, and the number of airports competing for this prestigious top-ten honor isn't exactly astronomical. 😂 But hey, we're on the list, and we're celebrating! 🎉

Of course, passenger boarding numbers only tell a small part of our story...they don't count the military aircraft that stop here, the international flights that rely on us, the cargo that moves through our airport, or the countless people working behind the scenes to keep it all moving.

Numbers certainly don't measure the heart of this place, including the familiar faces who show up at all hours, in all kinds of weather- the Maine Troop Greeters who have made BGR a place of unforgettable homecomings. 🇺🇲 We're your hometown airport with a really big runway and an even bigger sense of community.

Are we the busiest airport in New England? Not even close. Are we going to enjoy our moment as number eight? You bet your boarding pass we are. 😉
