Jonathan Almond is leading the effort to provide meaningful income and property tax relief for hardworking North Carolinians.

Jonathan Almond voted YES on two major constitutional amendments that will deliver real tax relief to North Carolina families and homeowners.

Almond championed a bipartisan effort to cap the state income tax at 3.5% and to implement common-sense limits on rising property taxes.

He stood strong in support of permanently capping North Carolina’s personal income tax at 3.5%, providing lasting relief for families, retirees, and small business owners.

Almond also led the effort to pass House Bill 1089, the constitutional amendment to rein in exploding local property taxes and protect homeowners from unchecked increases.

Residents of Cabarrus County deserve meaningful tax relief and greater take-home pay.

Thanks to Jonathan Almond, you will have the final say in November.

Home after a busy week at the Legislature.

That makes 9 bipartisan overrides in the NC House. Proud to support House Bill 87 to strengthen school choice and parental rights.

We are seeing great movement toward a Budget solution here at the General Assembly.

Key factors of the agreement include strong teacher raises (an 8% average teacher raise over the biennium would be among the largest teacher pay increases enacted in North Carolina in the last decade)

· Tax cuts revised to ensure fiscal strength in the coming years.

· Constitutional Amendment on Property Taxes- levy limit proposed by the House.

During National Police Week, I want to honor the brave law enforcement officers in Cabarrus who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe each and every day.

Cabarrus County is grateful for the service and sacrifice of the men and women who wear the badge.

I loved talking to teachers, staff, and students at Coltrane-Webb STEM Elementary and R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary as part of the Take Your Legislator to School Day in Cabarrus County Schools.

Teachers and staff at our Cabarrus County Schools should be proud of the student achievement I observed, as our educators nurture and educate our future leaders and workforce.
